Something in the Eye

It was couple days ago I had something different of my vision when I woke up in the morning. Something floating in the corner of my right eye, like tiny fibers and motionless. The Dr.Oz tv show taught me if this kind of thing named as eye floater(s) (Oz and Roizen, 2013). And IMHO, in-my-half-baked-opinion, it is just a temporary disruption, the transition from my bad dream to the real world. Well in fact, the real world have more something bad than dream as it will be magically disappeared once you scream very loud, get sweat all over the face, and open the eyes. Second fact,  I do have kind of this experiences of eye floater before but never happened when waking from beauty sleep. Frequently, it happens if my eyes are tired from too long looking at your face.

The Story of the Suitcase

Seriously in love with this post. A spellbinding read!

The Man from the Suitcase

My In-laws were in town.

They didn’t come often, mainly because the desire to make sure their golden child was living a godly life was at odds with the deep-down knowledge that he wasn’t.  How could he?  He was living with a jezebel spirit.  The bi-annual visits to our home turf were fraught with tension, made worse by the fact that we had to hide the liquor bottles.

In an effort to pick neutral activities that wouldn’t expose our true day-to-day life of dive bars, profanity and R-rated movies, we found ourselves in Franklin, TN.  Franklin is safe.  Franklin has antique malls, which my mother-in-law enjoyed deeply, second only to eggs-in-a-basket at Cracker Barrel between Sunday services.

We weren’t completely different, she and I.  I too can spend hours in an antique mall, as long as it is the jumbled kind, full of random stalls ranging from prim doilies displayed on elegant sideboards to towering stacks of milk crates full of…

3 Things That Comes After Listening To Adele’s 25

She who has become your faithful-constant-and-loyal friend when you are in trouble with love relationship with someone four years ago, is coming back and says, “Hello… it’s me”. A lyric from a song that has never been forgotten to be sung lately. From the first verse to the last, or just on the chorus part.  Continue reading “3 Things That Comes After Listening To Adele’s 25”

#Leeds101: Selepas Hujan

Eid Mubarak with Andrea Hirata

Entahlah siapa yang sebenarnya kali pertama yang mencetuskan sebuah petuah bijaksana berikut, “yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a gift, that is why it is called the present”. Tapi memang begitulah adanya.

I Quit: What Really Goes on at Apple

When there are two conflicting affairs because of the time, then what is more important factors based on priorities take precedence. And when the business office is way more important than family, then think for a moment that we (probably) works in the wrong place.

Road Less Travelled

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. – Steve Jobs, June 12, 2005.

I’ve just escaped the Apple institution. I’ve sent in my resignation, and fled down its bright white corridors curated by crass colourful pictures of iPhones past. I handed in my security pass and in return I was able to re-claim my creativity, individuality and free thinking from the secure Apple cloak room.  Finally now, for the first time in two years, I feel light, creative and inspired. I am again an individual with my own creative ideas…

(Banyak) Jalan Menuju Edensor!
